Attention all volunteers involved in Natural Resource Management across the State!
The Premier's Natural Resources Management (NRM) Awards recognise the outstanding contributions made by volunteers to the sustainable management of South Australia's natural resources (that is, our soils, water, plants and animals and the diversity of our landscapes and ecosystems).
There are six award categories:
- Outstanding Integrated Volunteer Project
- Best Whole of Community Engagement Volunteer Project
- Exceptional Volunteer Contribution to NRM Research
- Most Innovative Big Picture Project - Crossing Boundaries
- Excellence in Indigenous Leadership in the NRM Sphere
- Rising Stars NRM - Youth Volunteers (25 years and under)
Awards will be presented at the South Australian Landcare and Premier's NRM Awards Gala Presentation, sponsored by Elders, to be held at the Stamford Grand, Glenelg, on the evening of Monday 15 October 2007.
Finalists will be presented with a certificate. Award winners will each receive a cheque for $500 from the South Australian Farmers Federation.
Nominations for the awards close on 31 July 2007.
We encourage all NRM volunteers and NRM volunteer groups to apply for one of these prestigious awards!
